Five Star Veterinary Center was established in 2022 as a veterinary urgent care providing same day appointments to pets with urgent medical needs in Springfield and the surrounding areas. Five Star prides itself on providing high quality medicine while taking time to educate and build a rapport with both the pets and their owners.
The doctors and staff at Five Star continue to expand their knowledge in a variety of areas in veterinary medicine. Five Star now offers services such as vaccines and wellness care, surgery, ultrasound imaging and radiology, laser therapy, animal acupuncture, animal chiropractic and integrative medicine including food therapy and herbal therapy.
The building that is now Five Star Veterinary Center began as the All Cat Clinic, a feline-only veterinary clinic started by Dr. Dena Nelson in 1989. Dr. Nelson owned and practiced at All Cat Clinic, paving the way for women-owned veterinary centers like Five Star.
